Mongolian Death Worm – 1 AVDP Oz .999 Fine Copper Round | Cryptozoology Collection

Description:

Lurking beneath the sands of the Gobi Desert is a creature so feared, it’s spoken of only in hushed tones — the Mongolian Death Worm. This copper round brings the terror of Central Asian folklore to life, honoring a cryptid known for its deadly reputation and elusive nature.

Struck in .999 fine copper, this 1 oz AVDP round measures 39mm and features a dramatic depiction of the Death Worm erupting from the desert floor, maw agape and crackling with energy. Its armored, segmented body coils with explosive force, sending a hapless traveler sprawling in fear. Every scale and spine is sharply rendered to evoke both dread and fascination. The reverse carries the Cryptozoology Collection’s standard design — cryptid tracks and pawprints encircling a bold humanoid footprint beneath the “INTAGLIO MINT” name.

The Legend:

Known locally as the olgoi-khorkhoi, or “intestine worm,” this creature is said to measure up to five feet long and deliver electric shocks or venomous sprays to incapacitate prey. While its existence has never been proven, accounts from nomads and explorers persist — keeping the legend of the Death Worm alive beneath the shifting sands.

Highlights:

  • Contains 1 oz. AVDP of .999 Fine Copper
  • Obverse: Mongolian Death Worm bursting from the desert, mouth wide, threatening a terrified traveler; “MONGOLIAN DEATH WORM” across the top
  • Reverse: Shared Cryptozoology Collection reverse with cryptid tracks and large footprint under “INTAGLIO MINT”
