$3.95

Chupacabra – 1 AVDP Oz .999 Fine Copper Round | Cryptozoology Collection

Description:

Bloodthirsty and shrouded in mystery, the Chupacabra takes center stage in this spine-tingling addition to the Cryptozoology Collection. Known throughout the Americas for its eerie livestock attacks and vampiric habits, this creature blends fear and folklore in equal measure — now immortalized in copper.

Struck in .999 fine copper, this 1 oz AVDP round measures 39mm and showcases the Chupacabra mid-hunt, hunched over a fallen goat with spines raised and claws extended. Its sinewy limbs and gaunt frame are captured in fine relief, echoing the many descriptions from terrified eyewitnesses. The reverse features the Cryptozoology Collection’s standard design — a trail of clawed and padded prints under the “INTAGLIO MINT” banner, anchored by a prominent humanoid footprint.

The Legend:

First reported in Puerto Rico during the 1990s, the Chupacabra — “goat sucker” in Spanish — is said to drain livestock of blood through small puncture wounds, leaving no trace beyond a carcass and a mystery. Sightings have since spread across the Americas, spawning endless speculation: is it a mutated animal, a supernatural predator, or something else entirely?

Highlights:

  • Contains 1 oz. AVDP of .999 Fine Copper
  • Obverse: Chupacabra attacking a goat, crouched and clawed, with “CHUPACABRA” at the top
  • Reverse: Shared Cryptozoology Collection reverse with assorted cryptid tracks and bold footprint under “INTAGLIO MINT”
